Mike Williams is an exceptional Mastersmith whose work was very prominent a few years ago, he still attends shows, and though his output and profile has dropped recently but he is tipped to return better than ever in the future.
This is an incredibly fast knife, Mike Williams MS, knows how to build a proper bowie, the distal taper is perfect.
Though I reside in Europe this knife is held by a dealer(one of the best) in the US and the price includes shipping within the CONUS so there will be no issues with customs or duties on deals within the US.
Value wise it is a difficult call, two or 3 years ago a knife like this would have cost $1850. I took delivery in 2005 direct from Mike. However we have to realistic in this game and current prices reflect the current profile, so my trade value is set around the $1350 mark. At this value it is an absolute bargain, this is a lot of serious knife for the buck - and a perfect way of adding a stag and damascus mastersmith bowie to your collection. For trades I am looking for Slip Joints and Watches from the likes of Breitling, Sinn, Stowa, IWC, Omega, GO, Rolex ...... cash added where necessary.
