The knife (including leather thong) weighs 8.9 oz. It's no lightweight.
It is my understanding that the scales are stabilized. You can also see in the photo that there are thin white liners. There are a few very small natural inclusions in the scales and when weighing it I saw one inclusion that runs from the center pin to near the edge of the handle. Might be a very stable crack. It can be seen in the second photo. I want to make sure I describe the knife properly and completely.
