Keep in mind some of these Mil. blades are ordered as tribute/commemorative pieces to a tour of duty, or a battle, or Team etc. For example some unit may order a bunch of FBM's with their unit insignia and personal names engraved etc. It doesn't always have to be a blade that is practical in a military scenario. Of course, I just made all of that up so I could be completely wrong.

Well if it was for practicality the AMS damned sure wouldn't make sense for a military blade...unless we're talking the Salvation Army.

Again, I'd hope for something practical in the 5-7" blade range. Something tells me I'm going to keep hoping...
