Thanks man. It was because I didn't get all the coating removed before dunking in vinegar. I brought the vinegar to a boil, then poured it into the glass. Put the knife in there for 20 minutes. I was wanting more of a mottled look though, hence why I went with the mustard patina.

I love a dabbed mustard patina. I didn't know sharpie would resist vinegar, I know it works for PCB etch...I learned something new!

Sure is, haha. To be honest, I'm not sure the sharpie resist did work. When I pulled it out, it was so dark, I couldn't tell, and I steel wooled it all off anywhos. Can't wait to use it.
 
I like that mod. A lot. Nicely done, thewarrior. Als you said, subtle mods but they're very nice nonetheless.
 
I know i'm late to the party but hell i'm throwing my 2 cents in anyhow. That's an awesome job on that BK-2 Warrior. I did a mustard patina on my LT Wright Sospes because the O1 likes to rust like mad. I really liked how it turned out though. Thanks for the post and ideas!
