Military 2 15V Sprint Run Available SFO

Well I got mine today and it’s a hunk of a knife in good way. Really nicely done.

Already touched up and used. Very nice. Thanks BBB.

Just noticed that someone sold his Mille 2 15V for $200 on The Exchange. 😮

See: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/spyderco-military-2-15v.2026495/#post-22978588

I saw the asking price of $200 before he deleted it. I paid $263 for mine.

No way I'm going to take a $63 hit plus an extra $10 for shipping for the one I bought! 👎

So, I'm just going to return mine to the Knife Center, which is only going to cost me around $10; $5 for the return label & $5 for a restocking fee.

Can't tell from the pics but have to wonder why he'd dump for about a 25% loss rather than just return so soon after buying it. 🤷‍♂️
Some vendors are around $200 for this knife NIB shipped no tax..so he may have not lost much. These will go up in value (for collectors) in the next few years.

For sure especially listing it without even showing the blade which is a little unusual 🧐
Although could be all good but guess the buyer will find out .

I looked around and I only saw them at MAP which is $241.50.

Don't Spydie dealers have to hold the line at MAP until the knife is discontinued or they otherwise get permission to undercut MAP pricing?

I know that 15V is very popular in some circles but with 5k of them to sell, I'd think it would take more than a few years for these to rise significantly in value.

Doesn't matter much to me. Just didn't like or need the knife & it's already packed & ready to return to Knife Center.

I have many others that have risen significantly in value over the past few years, not that I actually sell any of them. LOL! 😉

Amazing knife, can't stop carrying it. Today, I hade to cut some holes in ceiling tile which dulled it quickly, probably fiberglass in the material if I had to guess.

Touched up the edge for the first time, very lightly, with DMT diamonds, and spyderco ceramics. I guess during the touch up, the edge chipped out as you might see in the pics. I've never had this result on many other knives I've sharpened.

No real worry, as I intend on using this knife often and well. Perhaps pushing the extreme on HRC mixed with the thinness of the factory edge it produced a weakness. Time will tell. Aside from that I feel the edge has been holding up extremely well. Even the "fragile" tip has performed some jobs that have surprised me.

Figured some people might be interested in some personal experience.

I did get one after seeing a guy who tested 15V after the first run and rated it as a total monster steel that holds an edge forever but is still easy to touch up. That got my attention.

Have to say its perfect in every way. Bit stiff at first but loosening up nicely. My first Military 2!

Next up I'm eyeing out that Salt Military.... that will make a wicked kitchen knife. Wish like hell Spydie would put out some more kitchen knives but in Magnacut!
