The blade on my spyderco military is way off center. Can anything be done, besides sending it back to the factory?

I had one that was not centered. I can usually get a knife centered, but was not able to do so in the military. I stripped a couple of screws and sent it to the factory for screw/backspacer replacement. It is still not perfectly centered, but I don't mind.

If you want to try, you can gently loosen the handle screws, push the blade over to the opposite scale in the direction you want it to move. Push all the way to the scale. Retighten the screws while holding the blade in place. The blade may move back to center a little. Be careful and don't overtighten, the backspacer is easily stripped.

I fixed mine, by removing the existing thread locker, which is a hard thread locker that is already hard when it is on the screw before it is assembled, and replaced it with regular 252 blue.

I think the pre-hardened thread locker tips the screw to one side which cants the blade.
It is not evenly distributed around the threads.

Scrape off the existing thread locker and replace it.

give it a go.

Try adjusting your pivot tension. Loosen it a bit, then move the blade, then while holding the blade where you want it, tighten the pivot again.

Personally, my Millie has a blade that will NEVER be centered; it's warped ever so slightly (I'm guessing from the heat treating process...). I don't care. It's a user.
