Buying a new millitary and im considering the ti version (not fluted)

Any users here? Is it worth the extra cost?

Good luck finding one. They come up occasionally on the major on-line dealers' pages, but you need to be prepared to scour the interwebz daily and to jump when found. I have one. Little big for me to office carry, but I do love it. A little pricey for many too, but if you really want one, I say go for it. Let the hunt begin. :D

Great knife but be prepared for a heavy carry. Also keep in mind the lock changed to a replaceable stainless wear bar. If that's important to you look for that model.

I prefer CF and G10 over titanium. It is slicker and heavier while offering no advantages except being titanium. If you love Ti then it might be worth the extra cost..

I have one and I love it. It's in my pocket now, it is big and heavy but still disappears when carrying it.
Also no luck needed in finding one. I got mine from Knives ship free and they still have them in stock! I say go for it!

Not much I can't do with this combo

The only possible issue is the weight. A regular G-10 Military is only 4.2 ounces but the titanium one weighs in at a more substantial 5.8 ounces. Not a biggie but good to know. By the way, the fluted titanium one weighs 5.1 ounces.

I agree on weight being the question for you. I prefer the ergos on the framelock to the linerlock. One of my absolute favorite knives is a Knifeworks Military exclusive with a G10 scale on the non-locking side, which lightens up the knife a good bit.

My experience, I've been a big fan of G10 Millies over the years. I finally bought a Ti version last year, exceptional knife... REALLY. But I soon realized that it doesnt hold any advantage to the G10. The G10 is very strong and its lighter. I find myself carrying my G10's still. On its own though, the Ti Millie is a knife that Golden should be proud of.

I had a Ti Mili that I later sold. I realized that the standard Mili's lightness is one of my favorite things about it.

I have them both, and even though the G10 is used more often, I like the option of having the Ti for when I feel like carrying it. It's really just a different flavor.

I also had one that got sold away. No advantage for me other than Ti. Wish they would change up the blade steel on these. They're all S30V. That's the one drawback, just too much of the same steel over and over.

I have one. I like it just because its different. I'm a huge Millie fan, and I just wanted the Ti Millie in my collection. If you buy it just because you want the Ti, it's awesome. If it is your only Millie, go G-10 for all the above mentioned reasons. :)

It feels almost like the scales are made from stainless steel. Its pretty heavy. I'd take the G10 version all day over the TI.

I like the Ti Millie because it has fewer parts than the G-10 version (simplicity). By moving a few things around, I have been able to assemble Ti Millies in 440-V (S-60-V) and CPM S-90-V. The bottom knife is a S-90-V Millie.View attachment 428921

Tiguy7, nice work on your S90V Ti Military.

I have to ask, what happened to your G10 Endura?

Technically speaking, the parts count is probably the same. The framelock trades the steel lockbar insert for the linerlock's liner lock leaf.

I find the lockbar of the framelock easier to use than the linerlock with cold/wet/numb/gloved hands. YMMV, obviously.

Part of what makes a Military is it's super light weight for it's size.

That said the Ti one is awesome! I've owned a few and will grab another some day!
