I recently got a Digicam Military, Black Blade. Really awesome knife!!
When the knife was closed, the centering looked perfect. However, when I opened it, applying slight pressure on the side of the blade, it would JUST (I mean JUST) kiss the G-10 on the lock side as the blade swung by/open. I am a righty and push with my right thumb. If I opened it with my left thumb, no matter how much pressure I used, I really couldn't get it to touch the other G-10 side as it opened.
So, I took it completely apart. I then switched the washers around to the opposite side and reassembled. It is now PERFECT. It still looks perfectly centered when closed, AND, when I open and close it, the blade does NOT rub on either scale on the way in or out.
Not sure the washers switch had anything to do with it, or if it was just the result of the disassembly/reassembly process itself. Anyway, very happy now.
It did not effect performance, or course, just a pet peeve....
Her is a pic....
