• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

military classic

I do.
Typical Cold Steel "thicker than it needs to be" edge.
The handle of black linen Micarta was too slick when wet, so I added some finger grooves and works ok now.
What did you want to ask?

I was wanting to get a large sheath knife, and pretty much settled on the SOG recon bowie. Then I started to consider the CS. Does it have a sharpened false edge?

Mine does. It needed to be fine tuned when I got it, but it came around pretty quick.

I do, and mine also has a sharp false edge done by Jake Evans - BF member.

he also did a few other modifications to the knife - and I like it allot!

thank Jake!

How does the steel hold up so far, guys? And are they made in Taiwan or Japan?

Thanks..

Dan

The Military Classic seems like a nice knife, but only because it is an immitation of a REALLY nice knife--the Randall Model One.

Why not spend a little extra money and get the best?

You can often find them for sale in the forum for reasonable prices. I have a few that I am thinking about selling as well. If you are patient you can often find a good deal.

The extra money spent will be well worth it. And the re-sale value on Randalls is very high if you decide you want to get rid of it.
