I remember about one year ago when we had lots of posts (a gillion, my son would say) about Militaries by Military owners. Now it is few and far between. Are you still out there?

What you hear is the hum of a gillion contented owners

I'm still here! The Military remains my favorite Spydie (though the Starmate is awfully close too!)

Gene - my fellow Military bro!! Where are ya, man?

Living life "on the edge"

While I no longer have the time to check the Forum's every day, or every other day most days now, I still have my Military and recently acquired a plain edge Starmate. (Now I have two Starmates

!)
And the Military is still right up in the top five of my favorite folders.
Military fans are still here, we're just enjoying the daylights out of our Spyderco's and don't have time to type about it!

I'll stand up to be counted, the Military is my favourite big folder. If I could only keep one of my knives

, it would be the one I'd chose.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

The Military is still my most consistant carry. Of my larger (~4") folders, it's the most comfortable to carry on the waistband. The butt of the AFCK is too pointy, the Police (G-10) sticks up too much and is pointy too, and the Starmate's G-10 has too much friction on the draw.

That's not to say that the other knives are inferior; I just like my Military the best. Right now, the Calypso Jr. Ltwt is my small blade favorite. That VG-10 is good stuff.

...I find your lack of faith disturbing...

I just got my Military recently (440V Plain), and it is without a doubt the nicest knife I own. You just can't beat the smooth liner lock and the solid G10 handles--not to mention the CPM440V steel. I can't wait to take it on my next camping trip and give it a good tryout.

The Military is among my two favorite Spyderco's. I am now awaiting the arrival of the Military Jr to see if it lives up to the full size version.

I carry my Military almost daily. It is simply outstanding. I recently got a Starmate because the Military was getting lonely.

I love both Knives a lot, but they are quite different from each other. I think the action is a little smoother on the Military, and I LOVE that flat grind! I'm also waiting expectantly for the Military Jr.

My Military is still going strong! I carry at least one daily, depending on <...insert favourite excuse here...>. I guess that there's no need to discuss something so good, as all feedback is overwhelmingly positive!! Or, maybe us Military Men feel that if we keep quiet about it, we have more to ourselves!!

Hi guys,
I just bought a Mil.(plain 440v) yesterday,
I have to
say that choosing between the Mil. and Starmate is so hard!
I finally pick the Mil.

I still think it's the best Spyderco!

Nice to see you, Mil. fans,

Alan
