Unfortunately all of the knives listed are not what is currently issued to our troops. The knives offered on those pages are common items you would find in the BX/PX for sale. The GSA provides material to BX's and PX's. I know this because I handled and distributed GSA shipments while serving in the USAF.Lil Timmy said:For all the people that are into military knives, here's the site that has every knife currently issued to US troops. Boy, they sure have a lot of crap on that list...

If you do a search for Old Timer, Imperial Schrade is listed as the manufacturer of each cutlery result.I know that Schrade made the Old Timers, but I didn't see Schrades name in the descriptions where I saw Old Timer. Are these the new Old Timers? The Old Timers that were sold unassembled?
My understanding, they are issued knives/bayonets only if needed, as determined by their CO. Hand-to-hand knife-fights in modern combat is very, very rare. I've read that during the Faukland War it happened exactly twice. You gotta be kidding me. I thought soldiers were issued their own bayonets, an all purpose fixed blade, and some type of auto, or a SAK style knife. WTF!
