Military lock not engaging beyond 5%?

Do not file your liner, I would spin the stop pin a quarter turn and tune the pivot again.... If that does not work, spin the stop pin another quarter turn.

The liner did not grow, I would not be slamming it open trying to smash the liner back to make for a better lockup. Instead, Spin the stop pin a quarter turn at a time. :)

From the factory, yes. After a few hundred wrist-flicks? Dunno...

I can provide anecdotal evidence (a co-worker) that even a few hundred simian-esque wrist/arm flicks will not distort the pin....perhaps this changes as the number grows from hundreds to thousands, but the stop pins are pretty hard.

Regardless, one example is not proof...and I cringe every time I see a wildly exaggerated flick (so do not do it).

From what I can tell the stop pin is perfectly round. The snapping, cleaning, scrubbing, oiling, etc. has helped and it's locking like a beast, just at "new knife" levels.

I still have no idea how this happened but if you have a late locking older military send it to me and it'll get reset somehow...;)
