Near I-83 about 10 miles west right at the Mason-Dixon line - I'm about 1 hr away from the knife store.
Pics of my new Para 2 in S30V and the Military in C4.
Ahh...only asking because you stated that Maryland has strick knife laws.
Actually, Maryland has pretty lax knife laws depending on the "county" you live in. There are only three counties that have stipulations. There is no regulation on folding, pocket knife blade length in Maryland state law.....so you're GTG if you want to carry that Military. I edc a Military.....and live in Montgomery County.
Maryland actually only has two laws that apply to knives under the Criminal Code. And one of them (Title 4-105) is very marginally relevant because it only makes SALE of switchblades illegal (it has no effect on spring assisted or any other type of knife). And thankfully Mont Co doesn't have any knife laws itself (so you go by state law only if your county doesn't have stipulations)
The relevant law is 4-101. This law only regulates carry, not ownership (all knives and swords are legal to own in Maryland).
-Folders of any length are legal to carry no matter your age. They are "penknives" under the law and exempt from nearly all legal regulation in the state. This has even been upheld in the high courts.
-Spring-assisted, so long as they lack a true "switch", are treated the same as folders.
-Fixed blades are vague under the law. They can be considered "dirks" or "bowie knives." However, this just means that they must be carried openly and in plain view.
-Swords are treated the same as fixed blades. Plain view (though really how do you conceal a sword?)
-Bayonet is the same as fixed blade. Nothing special.
-Brass knuckles definitely are illegal to carry concealed. But there is no law that makes openly carrying them illegal.
