My question is this...

Is there any index to what is available?

Any central source with links?

Try here: http://www.adtdl.army.mil/atdls.htm. There are hundreds of manuals available. You have to be active duty military to access some of the coolest ones, though, such as "PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS," "POTENTIAL MILITARY CHEMICAL/BIOLOGICAL AGENTS AND COMPOUNDS," and "EXPLOSIVES AND DEMOLITIONS."

Its the "special operations" part. If you really want a copy of the FM let me know I have access to all of the manuals.

Just thought that my new 'promotional' mail might help someone.
I received a SHOMER-TEC Law Enforcement & Military Equipment catalog with a long list of military manuals from $7 to $14. Even more interesting is that they offer collections of manuals on CD-ROM with full text for $19-30 (38 cents per manual). (33 manuals), Jeep (25 manuals on the vehicle).
