Nice adventure!

I've had my Military (G-10/S30V) with partially serrated edge since 2005. Used to carry it a lot back in 2005-2007. The serration is very handy and it's good that it's only partial because as such I basically get two blades in one.

The Military is long enough that a part-serrated blade does give that effect.
On shorter blades that doesn't work so well, but the Military can pull it off.
