Christopher, your orange-peal finish/electro-anodization is beautiful!

Thank you!
Interestingly, that knife recently came back to me in trade and I am considering changing up the electro-ano color. The owner was really hot on Walker Liner Locks when I did this knife, and had a change of heart with regard to preferences. I am thinking about going with an electric-ice-blue & bronze over the same orange-peal finish, and orange-peal & bronze on the pocketclip to match. Trouble is the finish is still in excellent condition :-( and really the edge only needs a little touchup.

I also liked that orange-peal texture and am considering applying to my RIL-TiG10-Millie and also a K2. The ano-finish on my EDC RIL-TiG10-Millie (lower Millie in pic's) has held up so well though, that it's kinda hard bringin' myself to the point of being ready to remove it to make the change. Been carrying/using the K2 for a while now, and almost have figured out where all the hot spots are so about ready to do some work to the scales & pocketclip on this one (will include portions of orange-peal texturing to the scales). Been through a couple re-sharpenings so far testing the CPM10V and almost ready to reprofile and get serious on this one :-)

Looks like we are close geographically. Let me know if you'd like to check out anything in hand ;-)

Regards,
Christopher

1999 perhaps ?
That Millie looks nice, but produced circa late 1990's. With blade steel ats-34 the pocket clip design attachment would help to narrow the year between '96 - '99 (2 vs 3 Screw attachment). "1979" predates Spyderco knife production. I believe the only Spyderco products in '79 were the Portable Hand (1st product), the sharpeners I think came next, followed by the Worker (1st Spyderco production knife in around '81).

Tip down then, tip down still & for good reason ;-) Many iterations & improvements have we enjoyed (CQI) throughout history of the Military.

Thought so as well- but I really like Spey's response.

I just learnt so much because of a typo😀
