military police knife?

You could go with a classic, the Buck 110. On their website you can even customize one for him.

Tell her to get him a Sharpmaker instead. Then whatever knife he's allowed or picks out will be sharp.

I don't own one but what about the Ontario Rat 1 folder? I have heard nothing but praise on here about them and there not expensive to buy but built like a tank.

it may not be the best knife ever.
and it may not even be within everyone's reach
but numerous folks have had very little to complaint about whenever reaching into their pockets just to pull out a more than capable Spyderco Endura.
'nuff said :-)

Can't go wrong with a coldsteel recon 1, or a lawman. or perhaps a smaller fixed blade. been carrying an oldstyle recon 1 around with me without any problems, and the new models weigh a good deal less.

well im in the cf, your not "supposed" to carry anything that isnt issued.
Don't get caught. Cf members already are issued a multi-tool.
Mp,s got enough shit on there belt already something else there is to much imo
a knife on an mp basically is a last ditch self defence, or a cut your seat belt knife.
find something curved with serrations and that imo would be best. not heavy.

I would suggest looking into CRKT's M16 or it's bigger brother the M21 designed by Kit Carson. They call it the folding fixed blade. Should be within your price range
