I'm shouldering an M-1 .30-06, my helmet hanging on the muzzle (we could do that kind of crap back then :D) That tin quonset hut in back is the barracks we lived in, summer and winter. Back then, the 1st Cav was the only combat-ready division in the US Army. Never saw any combat then, but occasionally the red flag went up and we were handed out ammunition.

USN, Jan 1990 through may 1995 (5 year enlistment, voluntary duty station extension.)
 
United States Air Force Retired 1979-2005. I spent 15 years in Asia and did a few tours to Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

Now working for DHS.
