Are the clip screws tapped into just the g-10 or do they go into the steel liner? Has anyone had the screws strip out?

I think the screws are threaded directly into steel posts that provide a tight fit and guards against stripping.

Vince - am I right?

It's my understanding that since the redesign, the Military's screws tap into the part of the stainless semi-liner that extends to the pivot area. They pass through oversize holes in the G-10 that don't engage the screws at all. It would take a lot to strip them out.

I've been told the Starmate works similarly.

I can see (starmate on my table), that the top screw of the clip goes right through the liner. Well you can see the screw which is plain with the liner.

Vince, you gotta calm down..
you talk too much...talk about a rant!
