Military wish list

Also, like many others, I wish there was a tip carry option on the military.

Non-laminated super blue steel with fluted light blue g10 handle scales. Like the fluted Ti model.

I'd happily settle for another non-stainless steel in that configuration, like 52100 given the difficulties in exporting SB.

I love the carbon fiber millies and pm2s so I'd like to see a carbor fiber super blue.
Just my 2 cents ☺

Like others have said, all I want is a Military with 3V. In a knife like the Military, with it's distal taper and thin cutting edge, you could have a very sharp and very strong edge. Denim blue handles, please, this would be a great work knife :D

What attracts me about the military is it's simplicity. Maybe just bigger hardware and that stepped pivot. Complicating the design will make it less desirable to me.

Same here. I would be extremely disappointed if they did away with the PB washers and liner lock.

I'm not even sure if the new pivot is an improvement, if I understand correctly even a small amount of wear to the washers can create side to side play that can't be adjusted for, requiring a trip to the factory?

I agree, I strongly prefer the simplicity and robustness of PB washers over bearings.

So far I really like the CQI changes on the Military, especially the stepped pivot. I always had a hard time to get the action just right on the pre-CQI models (smooth action to be easily flickable and solid lockup without blade play). The stepped pivot solves that issue beautifully it seems. The action and lockup on my 52100 and 204P are just perfect.

The same stepped pivot concept is also used successfully on the PM2. I've not had blade play issues on any of mine in the last 5 years. Some of them have the slightest fraction of side-to-side, but it is so insignificant that I would not even call it blade play. If the washers eventually do wear out, they will be easy to replace.

Hhhhm, in that case I'd go back to the "if it's not broke, don't fix it" sentiment. I have a couple millies, and they've been trouble free for me.

I'm also all about simplicity. I would honestly prefer the older two part pivot as opposed to this new "stepped" system. ...and as far as pivot bearings... hell-to the-NO!!

As others have said, I'd go for 3V with a Ti lockside and blue/gray G10 presentation side.

Though, I've always thought it'd be interesting to have Millie with an ATR-style lock system...

I live too far from water to need another boat anchor, so no TiRIL for me. Carbon fiber and Maxamet, please. The new CQI changes are okay, but not something I care about. My older ones have always worked just fine for me.
