I'm really asking the wrong crowd if I should be buying tools 
But is this a good machine for the money? All tooled up it seems worth the asking price.As far as my needs go...can I slot my gaurds with it??
I would have to start making all sorts of other stuff to enjoy it,The lathe has been in need for a few projects.

The one thing holding me back is my shop has some humidity issues (read holes in the walls and a leaky roof)Is this thing gonna get trashed sitting in a harsh environment.And am I going to need a dust collector so the grinding dust doesnt get in it?
