I have decided to sell my Maximat standard 3 in 1 mill, drill, lathe. I upgraded to a larger mill last year and I need the room in my shop.
What I do know about this machine is the lathe bed rails appear to be 34 inches long from the head stock and the mill rails stand 21 inches tall from the lathe bed. It is variable speed through the use of pulleys on both the mill and lathe head stocks. It has 2 separate motors 1 for the mill and 1 for the lathe, I do not know the horse power. Both motors are wired 110V and are reversible at the switch. There are two chip outs on the mill t-slot bed in the center t-slot. The machine is mounted on a metal cabinet, that is included. The head stock spindle bores are #2 MT and 2 or 3 collets are included. The lathe tool holder and tailstock are also included. The lathe does not have a backing plate or chuck. I did not use this machine very much so I do not know the full capability of it.
I do not know what year it was manufactured. I do not know if there are other gears available for the lathe for threading purposes, I obtained it with what is on it. This appears to be a solid well built machine, its heavy and appears to be accurate. The spindles run true with no visible play.
This is the most information that I have found on this machine: http://www.lathes.co.uk/emco/page14[/URL]
This is for local pickup only, sorry but I will not ship. I am located in Branford, Florida, which is about 30 minutes south of Lake City, Florida. For what ever reason I can not upload pics, e-mail me and I will send them out.
I am Selling for $500 **sold**. Feel free to call @ 386-365-5208 or e-mail @ jclark@clarkcustomknives.com with questions.
Thanks for looking
Jason
