I was lucky enough to acquire Millenium Apogee #5 over the weekend. I think I have traced it's ownership history. I know who owns #4. I was wondering who has the other three, if different from the original purchasers. I would be extremely interested in pictures to see the differences, if any. I know that #4 and #2 have damascus blades. #2 looks like it has a narrower blade. Any help will be appreciated.

BTW Darrel, this is one sweet knife, one that I will never part with (and that is saying a lot ).

Take care,
Chris

I have #2 and am the original owner. I was lucky enough to get in early, twice, and get it. You can see this in the original thread that #1 and #2 went to the same first posts. THe blade is a little narrower, I think, from standard. DDR used some of his "unfolded" damascus for the blade. Darrel says that this is the ONLY small with this blade steel.

If you look closely at the pictures of the knife you may see that the "screws" are in different positions from the normal small Apogee. That was an extra cost option added after the first blade for the knife "bit the dust" during heat treat IIRC.

Here and here are pics of the knife. There is a clip on the back side of the knife. I use it more to keep the knife from rattling around in my keys than anything else.

It's a great knife that never fails to impress any who see it. Too bad I don't carry it often. Way too many $$ for an "every-day" user. However I have, and will, continue to carry it as one of my "dress" knives to use but not abuse.
