My most deepest apologies of suggesting animals.I wasn't aware of that tabu among other culture(s).
I guess I missed that post where Uncle said that about the Buddhist Temple.
Animals do pay a big part in the American Indin's culture.....But on the other hand since my people were woodlands Indins we used many Floral and leaf patterns as well as the animal.Of course geometrical was used very often to

ne of my favorite "Pipe Bags" had a Maple leaf pattern and I can only speak of it now because I gifted the bag and all it's contents to a Sundancer.Floral or whatever would be fine with me.
I believe Rusty has a good suggestion with something carved in while the blade is hot.I don't have any of the fancy forward curved Khukuris yet,but I love my 18th. Century with the hatchmarks.I doubt that I can even imagine the beauty of the ones that have already been made.I do like the idea of floral or whatever may suggest peace.I have had enough war.
Have we settled on a blade style and size? I think about 3 or 4 different ones were suggested.
Of course we would all like the one we suggested, but we will have to settle on one.I would prefer a non weapon type as per above.I am tired of war.
I think some things are better left to the Kamis.Maybe some perimeters and let them come up with the proportions.
I mean,Look at Stubby the Salyan on steroids.hehehe.
I don't think we want one that "looks" like that.
I really don't know what would be best.I am pretty easy when it comes to Khukuris.
