Sorry missed this earlier. My original the action feels lighter, not the detent (I replace all the stainless detent balls so cant compare the factory action of that) but the way it opens out, like there's less friction on the blade. Its more broken in though so maybe that's part of it. The "thonk" is lighter as well, so I suspect part is also the change in locks. The uncoated is certainly smoother like glass than the three coated ones; I don't have an uncoated 1 to compare.Thank you.
I’m just going to have to try it out :/
I’ve had my eye on crucarta for awhile. Then I was carrying the Millie the other day or so, and it’s just excellent.
Spydie flicks like an auto, it’s so satisfying.
Is the feel in hand similar and action similar ?
tip down carry is my preference so no issue for me.
The hole appears placed the same relative to the pivot and to, say, the axis of the handle, so the opening takes the same movement. The only difference is the original has more scale removed for more access to the hole. The hole is fully uncovered on the 2 as well, however. Hard to say one is feels significantly different than another.

If you want a bigger choil up front, the new one provides that. Me personally, I would take no choil at all if I had the option. Having the longer blade I don't find either to snag on what I'm cutting like a PM2 will do at least.

The bigger opening going for opening and unlocking both, for someone using the knife with gloves, the original is certainly the better choice. Bare hands, I don't see one as functionally different than the other.
