Milling Machine for Creating Primary Bevels?

Hello guys. I've worked with metal for some years now and have my own manual milling machine and lathe. I don't consider myself a pro at either machine but I can usually get what I want out of them. I've been wanting to create my own knives for a while now and the only thing that's got me worried is creating primary bevels. FWIW, I intend to use 1080 steel and probably V or dropped V grinds. I remember reading somewhere about a guy who creates his bevels using a mill but I can't find it. For the guys who mill their bevels are there any tricks or "gotchas" to know about and how do you go about doing it? Thank you.

Thanks Dan. I actually just found a lengthy post of his about this. I know it's non-traditional way of doing bevels but I tried my hand at sharpening a few years ago using my small belt sander and just couldn't get even results. I figure I'll give my mill a shot at it and see what happens.
