Not sure if this is the correct term for this. I want to inlay wood on my small sebenza and want someone to mill(?) the handles for scales. Does anybody do it for a fee??I really don't like to just put it over the scales but sink it.

What shape is the inlay going to be? Milling bits will always leave rounded corners and I don't have the tooling to square them up.
Titanium is real bastard to machine. Do you have a drawing?

Thanks for thr reply. Nothing fancy, just following the inside curve unlike the inlaid sebenza. One whole inlay. Curves are normal. Here's a picture or something like this. The shaded area will be the milled portion. Also, there is a hole in the area. The round shades are screws. Please tell me what you think and if it is plausible. Email me, kianavi1@yahoo.com.

On that it may be cheaper and easier to cut it out with a jewelers file or have a CNC cut it. A milling machine table moves the stock like an Etch-a-sketch and that would be beyond my couple years of experience.

I have plans to get a small rotary table real soon to do some limited radius cutting.

I can cut that pocket and profile the inlays for you if you want. I might have a little piece of ironwood that would fit, and some of the VHB tape that Reeve's uses too. Send me a private email if you're interested.
