I swapped out the pocket clip on my small sebenza with a millit clip, it looks great but it makes the knife harder to open and slipping it into my pocket is a chore. I swapped it from my Sebenza to my Inkosi where the pocket clip doesn’t ride on the lock bar. The knife is easier to open then the sebenza but still sliding it into my pocket it nearly a two handed exercise.

Has anyone else had that experience? I know there’s a bunch of these clips floating around so I’d imagine it’s been an issue for someone else other then my self. I want to make the clip work for me but right now it isn’t.

I had the same issue and the problem was with the design.
The angle of the "ball" at the end of the clip was too steep to allow easy entry over the edge of pocket and required physically pulling the clip out a bit for relief.
It wasn't too fiddly but I couldn't honestly sell it here without disclosing everything about its function so I basically gave it away as an accessory with a Sebenza sale.
Pretty clip though!

I haven't had the particular issue that Barman describes....that being said, this clip seems more sensitive than most to differing pocket thicknesses. On my ti-lock, I still prefer it to either the Hawk clip or the standard sebenza clip. On my sebenza, I prefer the stock clip.

I also lowered the spring tension on mine. :) i have a few. They are super tight when they arrive...and a slight bend to lower the tension is all they need. I like em. :)

I have the opposite problem with the Millet clip on my ti-lok. It is so loose that I worry about it slipping out when I sit down. I gather they can be tightened? I do prefer it to the Hawk clip as I no longer have the hand strength to push down on the clip to open it when I put it in my pocket. (I'm 80)

Cyclops_hammer Cyclops_hammer When you "bend" it, you shouldnt even be able to tell you changed it. Give it a slight good "bend/flex"...reinstall...and if its not loose enough...redo. :)
WHT WHT you should be able to do the opposite. I feel like its looser on my ti-lock too...but ive never adjusted that one, and never lost the knife yet. :D just my experiences.

I have a couple Millit clips on small 21’s and they work great. That being said, I tend to carry a small 21 on a weekday when I’m also wearing dress slacks for work. The Millit clips retain great in thinner fabrics, in fact I think they’re actually better than stock clips in this application. I can see how they could be a problem with jeans or cargo pants, especially to get them back into the pocket.

For the most part I really love the Millit clips. I think they’ve come out with a V2 clip that makes the design a little more versatile for all fabrics.

In my opinion
  • Standard CRK clip is best for functionality
  • CRK Hawk clip is best for the Sebenza 25 to reduce hot spot from the clip
  • Millit is best for safe queens and sheath carry
I have recently put a Millit on my EDC Small Sebenza to give it more extensive testing than I have in the past. It is set to ride just above the lockbar so it never touches. With this clip it is difficult and annoying to get it clipped to pants, thin slacks or my thick military uniform. I’ll likely switch back to the standard clip.
