Had to get a replacement Military as someone appears to have liked my user standard black model.

Picked up an orange version and I can say people seem to spot the knife a bit too readily than I desire.

I've got several orange and camo and half a dozen black ones or so; the color isn't particularly important to me, but the quality of the knife is. So far, they're consistent in their tightness, lockup, blade quality, and every other aspect of the finished product that matters to me. Color is far down the list.

I usually wear an Emerson on my right pocket, and my spyderco isn't visible. The color doesn't matter to anyone else but me, and it doesn't matter to me really, either. I do like the digicam look, for whatever it's worth, but it's the blade, smoothness, and tight lockup that do it for me. The military, overall, is a very well thought-out knife.

Having owned every Military except the 440V model and earlier, the smoothest Military I ever owned was the Orange model. There was just something about it. I had two at one time and both were significantly smoother than any other Millie I ever owned. Don't ask me why.

Same here. I have 4 differant ones now, and none are as smooth as the orange's I had.
I've never liked orange much, but now wish I had kept one of them for the super smoothness.

The orange Millie is sick but will show dirt etc. I really like the digi cam scales because 1. its digi cam and 2. it tends to not show dirt etc or rather, hides it. If you can swing both, definitely get 'em. Like someone else commented earlier, the orange is supposed to be discontinued for 2011.

I have an orange Mili, great knife. Just got the digi camo version and it's also great but actually smoother. Only reason I mention it is because others have said the orange is smoother - I think it's random.

Worrying about the orange Military showing dirt seems like refusing to fish so your boat doesn't get wet. I could understand if it was a custom gentleman's folder, but dirty or not, orange or not, the Military just isn't a going to church knife. To each their own, though.
