Richard wanted me to let you all know that mine is bigger than Brian's.

Having seen the chopper that Richard J made for Brian, I asked him to make a couple for me. They look like fun and useful knives and part of the proceeds go to his friend who is fighting cancer.

Still needs to be finished up and have a maple handle added.

just had this thought: what if he were to make the handle about 20-25'' long with the blade size of yours? i think that wound make an awsome axe!

i was thinking of using the lower half of a pool q to put a smaller one on. that thing is heavy and a short handle like it has will work out well. even though its not heat treated or fully sharpened, tomorrow i'll let chuck give it a workout on this small osage log i have. if it works out i have a red elm and white ash log he can work on if he wants to see what it can do.
as for its name, frosty seen it last night and said it looked like something freddie kruger would use so i'm naming it big freddie.

Richard,
I can't wait to see the pictures.:)
I am also waiting for Brian's review of the first chopper that you made.

he posted a little about it the other day. the maple on yours looks better than brians (but we wont tell brian that ;) :D)
