Beautiful work!

Any kind of carry system provided (sheath, etc.)?

Thanks,

Ray :)

yes a have a handmade pouch type sheath that comes with it. It was made by jeff zimmerman of zimmerman leather.

That's awesome, I have seen rail spike knives before but that takes it to another level !!!!

I used to work at a coal mine some years ago !!!

On atakach's site you can see the flame relief on the head of the spike that just adds to the artistry...

I really wish I had the money for this one...:D

Ray :)

You are correct sir. Anyone who likes this knife needs to fo to the website. The top of that spike is one of the nicest things I have ever seen done with steel.

wow, i appreciate all of your generosity with the compliments. this is actually the first one i've tried this with (the etch), once i made a letter opener from a stainless spike and then drew a golden temper color on it . it looked like it was made of gold. i had to convince the buyer it wasnt plated. and it wasnt, it was only polished. another one i did had a damascus blade with 52100 in it. that one was a bowie style blade . probably about 13'' oa.

thank you again.

p.s. shipping charges ON ME, for forum members

Thats the nicest spike ive ever seen any pics of the other side and sheath? Highly interested.........Man I hate you guys...LOL my wife will kill me but oh well.
Thanks
Sam

they'll be up in a second, as far as sheath i have a laced pouch sheath, if you desire a stitched sheath i'll have my guy make it up, would only take extra day, before shipped.

here's the other side and the head
