hi.. i'm from the philippines and i'm newto this forum... :) i would just like to ask anybody if the BM mini AFCK first production a collectors piece??? tnx

Mabuhay, praetorian73--welcome to Bladeforums!
This is my opinion, but, I think too many mini AFCKs were in production to limit its availability to make it collectible.

On the other hand, it could be, but then its relative value would be determined by its condition, whether you have the original box, and papers, and how much someone else would be willing to pay for said knife.

well...i agree, and there are many out there,,but i love these knives. and the mini is out of production, so i personally would put it away,,,but if that means carrying a crapo knife,,,then use it,,its a great user...

you are lucky to have it,,,i would like one :)

i wish they were collectible i have a pre-pro 088/500 IIRC, but they are worth at most maybe a small premium over a std mini AFCK, if ya need a user go for it imho.

when i bought mine the seller didnt even mention it FWIW, was cool though i thought when i opened it up and saw that it was pre-pro.

I have a Benchmade Mini-AFCK first production run #141. That was when BM changed the steel from ATS-34 to 154CM and they changed the round hole to an oval shape. As far as I know, the value is no different from any other Mini-AFCK.

I don't know about collectability, but, I just saw a combo mini-AFCK for $40.00 at the local B&M.

now that might be collectible lol, honestly have never seen/heard of a combo edge mini AFCK.

Yeah, it's in Frank Ruff's priced to go box that sits on the counter. I handled it and told Frank 'Too bad it's a combo. I might have gotten it otherwise.' or something to that effect.:o I'd never handled a min-AFCK that I can recall and that one felt pretty decent in my grip. Too bad it's a combo.;) :D
