Mini Bowie and Kumar Karda for 3/17

I'm the typical American Safari Hunter. 2500 dollar rifle with a 50 dollar scope. I don't pay for glass. My kid does time and time again but he's got a lot more loot than me.

This rifle is for shooting suppressed at 1000+ yards, that's why I built it my self and why it costs so much.

I don't know that I could hit a suppressed at a 1000+ even with the best scope and new eyes. My hats off to ya son.

Congrats halfsquelch. btw, we NEED pics in the cantina under the firearm collection thread. That is a big beast of a scope 55 or so objective and a larger than usual barrel isn't it? What reticle did you choose? Anyways, if you can would love to see it in the other thread.

You can shoot suppressed out much farther than 1000 it is just a matter of how you build the suppressor.

I am going shooting this weekend so I will break all the toys out then and take a pic. But in the mean time... it is a 58mm objective w/ Mill-scale MPR reticle, 27.5" SS bull barrel, 1:11.25 5r rifling, stiller predator action chambered in .308win, jewel trigger set at 9oz, and the thumb-hole stock I made myself. I've been building it for almost 2 years now because I had to put it on hold for a year while I was stationed in Korea but the scope and rings where the last items I needed and they showed up yesterday. To bad I can't go open up with it yet, I am only 5 rounds into breaking in the barrel and now I need to sight it in.
