I forged this down from 3/8'' 1095. It has been left as forged, other than to clean up to reveal the hamon. The spine tapers out both ways from the ricasso, giving the blade a nice steady taper, as well as a tapered tang. This is a very solid knife, bordering on a prybar:)

Before finishing, i tested this knife for about 4 hrs......lets just say the vine population behind the shop has greatly diminished. Also had been chopping golf balls with it and had no edge deflection.

The dimensions are : 15 1/2'' o.a., and is 10 3/16'' tip to plunge. It is 1 5/8'' at ricasso and 1 3/4'' at the widest.

It was clay quenched and 3x's tempered. The handle is resin soaked leather cord. It is very non-slip. The blade has a 600 grit machine finish and then was etched.

Total package is dropped to $225

Paypal is : a-takach@takachforge.com
