I just got my first Emerson and I am in love. It's been well used but not abused since 2001. Edge is pretty sharp. Could use a professional job on it though. Here are the pics
What exactly do you mean by refresh it? In time I will definitely get the edge touched up. Although I'm curious about the sound it makes when I actuate the liner to close the knife. It kinda makes a squeaking sound. I'm sure it's nothing but I want my baby to be perfect.
Love the pic's,
Is it just me?I find that the well used look of an Emerson, adds to the mystique of the knife. The scratch's dings and worn clips are badges of honor.
When I see pic's of some of the other brands that I collect, unless it's flawless,it just looks eh
The Emerson has to be the first knife brand that I don't mind using right out of the box. I guess this must be one of the reasons, that I'm now hooked on EM's
definately a great user you have there..Haze, I was wondering the same thing. Almost looks like someone tried to give it a scandi grind, but the edge bevel isn't too messed up.
I'm with you guys - curious how it got it's character. I like it the way it is though; it's special. I just cut up some food for lunch and I love it. The only thing it needs is some lock tight. That pivot screw doesn't like staying in place.
In fact I think I'll do that now. Then try to find some things to cut. The real question is what's next: full size 7 or Horseman?
