TnTom...I think you and I are both members at RCBA!! That board looks vaguely familiar... I'm currently in the Green Coal class on Mondays, though I have been smithing for about 2 years on my own. If you are a member, and you're there Monday, my screen name is on my name tag, or just holler it out.

I like making the RR spike crosses myself and have one mid-process, pre-texturing, that I'll bring with me.

OK, I slit up a bar of 1080 3/4" square stock and took it to Ashokan. In about 30 minutes I forged it out to a European style quillion (pronpounced quill - un) dagger. It still needs some work, but it is starting to shape up. I will add a fluted leather wrapped handle and pommel ball.

You can see the reinforced diamond shape piercing tip that I forged in.
