mini flashlight for wife

Are those better than Arc AAAs?
A little better. Bigger beam with wider surround, and no rings. The light is also much larger, though, since it takes a AA. I carry a Arc AAA-P on my keys-the Ultra-G is too big for that, IMO (tried it for awhile, but didn't like it). The Arc with a lithium AAA is practically weightless, too.

In scanning through I did not see this mentioned so I will. WalMart carries a light by Brinkmann, and I don't have the model number handy, that uses two of the 123 lithium cells. It has a silver aluminum body with a black rubber-like sleeve over the tube. The light will focus from flood to spot and throws a good deal of light. I bought a couple of these for my wife and son to carry in their vehicles, and another one for my wife to have inside.......so she'll leave my SF's alone....and the best part of the deal is the price, $19.95 and that includes two Sanyo 123 cells. These are a fantastic value for the price.

Dorcy 1 Watt Luxeon (3 AAA). A tad shorter and a bit thicker than a minimag (2AA), it will put out more light.

I don't know if it can handle lithium batteries. It is not regulated, but it gets pretty warm with alkalines and continuous use anyway. Anyone try this before?

I'm not sure if a stock minimag would be good on lithiums either?

Brinkmann Maxfire, I think it's called?? Dorcy also has the Spyder, but the Brinkmann will take a Surefire bulb once it burns out, which makes it all that much more cooler. .

I believe the P60 and P61 can easily be modified to fit in there. I'd research it before spending money since I might be thinking of the wrong light, but one of the inexpensive lithium cell lights at the big box retailers can do it. .

I know the Legend LX will take a P60/P61 (sold my Legend body with a couple of P60s). I just wondered if someone had put a bulb like the MN03 in the MaxFire(also sold my MN03s along with my E2e's stock head), or if a P60 would fit with the reflector and bulb assembly removed. I have a MaxFire, but haven't really fooled with it that much. It seems like a good light, but with a modded KL1 on the E2e body and a L4, I don't use a 2 cell incandescent very much.
