I'm no good at reviews so here's a quick 3 liner.
Just got this and must say its pretty damn nice. The blade is crazy sharp right out of the box. I like the grip, it feels real nice in hand. The Axis lock is awesome! I can't get enough flipping it it's really smooth and lockup is tight.
Couple pics:

Next to my CRKT. I thought the CRKT was small and light.

Old vs new EDC:

Yeah it's sharp. Nicked thumb soon after getting it lol.

Great knives. You won't see a lot of fanfare, not because they aren't good knives but because they have been around forever. There is a reason for that also, just like the 940 series. They sell & keep on selling.
Enjoy the mini-grip!

Gotta agree with 'Guns above me. The Grip/Mini-Grip is just an overall solid performer for Benchmade. Just wait till you find all the custom scales for it haha.

Congrats on your blade, man

Nice! I have one with a 440c blade. I've carried it for years and it's still going strong. Out of all my knives it seems to get picked the most on my way out the door in the morning. Eventually I'm going to send it back to benchmade and swap out the blade for 154.

I ALWAYS wanted a mini grip, but never sprang for one cus from the reviews I've read - you never know about the consistency... Ie: whether it will be centered or have a totally solid lock up or not. (unless you buy it after having it in hand...)

The BM Grips and Mini-Grips are excellent.

I gave a Doug Ritter Mini-Grip RSK Mk1 in M390 as a Xmas gift. Couldn't be happier.

Very nice man!

That cut is just you having way too much fun!!

I have always enjoyed the Axis Lock, it really is a ton of fun to open and close....and, repeat.....!

A lot of people seem to dislike the stock scales, but I don't mind them at all. They're strong and light. Most of the aftermarket scales add thickness to the handle and weight to the knife. I, on the other hand, love the fact that a stock Mini Grip only weighs 2.56 ounces. That's part of what drew me to it in the first place. :)

Haha. Yes my digit got in the way. The Axis lock is fun to flip I've spent hours f-in with it.
I have a Spyderco PM2 on the way and hope it's as badass as the mini grip.

I really enjoyed Both Grips I previously owned. I regret selling my Ritter grip with Allan Putman scales on it. Was almost a perfect knife. Enjoy it man. The PM2 you have coming is one heck of a knife also.

Minigrip has a strong following here. I'm a fan of them myself. It was one of my very first Benchmade knives close to 10 years ago. Still have a handful of them and the large grips. They are keepers.

I've been EDCing one for for about a month and using it hard. It has developed a tiny bit of side to side play, but otherwise it's held up better than I thought. The play can be fixed by tightening the pivot, but then it's a bit stiff for my tastes. I prefer the minuscule play with smooth action then the former.

If it were 20 bucks cheaper, I would recommend the knife to everyone. At the moment it's made the list of my top 5 favorite EDCs.

I agree, these are so smooth.

I gave one of these to my girlfriend and she shows it no mercy. Digs it right into dirt, cuts all kind of shit that I wouldn't put my knives through. Even with all the dirt in its bits, it still swings open and closed.

My mini grip helped me with various chores whilst painting the other day:

Does this happen to anyone else? This is the second time I've nicked myself closing it.

How do you close it?

Im willing to bet he closes it by having the bottom of his knife in the palm of his hand. Then he uses his thumb and index finger to pull on the axis lock and flick it closed. My wife has the same mini grip and she does the same thing sometimes when she is playing with her knife. Very easy to do with the sheepsfoot blade
