Mini Griptilian with 154CM need perspective and links

My limited experience was to sharpen a friends mini grip 154 to shaving sharp for its first sharpening since factory and several years old.

Have decided my 9 year old girls first knife will be a custom mini grip that I let her configure. I thought about 390 as I am a fan but in reality the 154 makes more sense. Cheaper, easier to sharpen and will hold an edge plenty long enough between touch ups.

Edit: 9th birthday present in a couple of months.

Nice! I'm glad to see that their is another farther who is not afraid or ashamed to let their kids own and carry a pocket knife with the pussification of America and all. We all had them as kids and most of us still have all of our fingers plus It's a great way to give and teach kids responsibility. My 10 year old son cut his finger cutting an apple on the second day with his first knife but instead of freaking out I simply told him ( you did it wrong ) then I took him to the E.R. for a couple of stitches. Now he loves knifes as much as me and is very skilled with it.
