The GPK LE MiniGrip with M4 blade steel is a excellent. The sharpest knife I've ever gotten out of the box.

They are sold out now though:grumpy:

I was looking at the sheepsfoot...does the blade deploy smoothly with one hand? can you "flick" it?

Ritter S30VN blade, I like the shape:

I love 154cm... it's on my Benchmade 950. Also how do you guys think the Mini Grip stacks up against the great delica?

Is the tanto blade a bad idea?

I would characterize the Mini Griptilian as slightly fatter in the pocket, and a little more ergonomic in the hand than the Delica due to the Grip's more hand-filling profile. The Mini Griptilian does subjectively seem smaller to me than the Delica, and does not have the Delica's sweet thumb ramp. The Delica gets more love around here, but the Mini Griptilian is one of Benchmade's flagship knives and needs to be in your arsenal.

I don't prefer a tanto, unless I am called upon to stab car hoods all day, which never happens. That corner of the tanto takes all of the wear (consider how you would open a box with a draw cut), and it has no belly (curved cutting edge that eases many cutting tasks). You can make it through the day just fine with a tanto, but life just seems easier with a drop point or similar profile.

I'm fighting the urge to buy a full sized Griptilian with sheepsfoot and Spydie hole.

Yeah I was thinking the tanto would pretty much have all the wear in one spot as opposed to on the whole belly of the Drop Point. Yeah I was looking Into getting the sheepsfoot.... its like a spyderco griptilian. The full sized and sheepsfoot would look great

Another vote for sheepsfoot. The hollow grind and increased belly cause it to perform like the Ritter, and the thumbhole is an improved opening mechanism. I also like how the thumbhole elevates the thumb ramp slightly and increases grip!

I have a Ritter mini and love it! It was a very difficult decision between it and the sheepsfoot though.

Sheepsfoot for me, followed by the standard drop point. I think the thumbstuds on the drop point are a little bit easier to flick, but the hole is no slouch, either, and you can middle-finger flick it too  I really like the continuous curve of the sheepsfoot blade, and on the mini at least, I find the thumbstuds sometimes get in the way of cutting at the base of the blade, which isn't a problem with the hole. Plus, you can zip-tie wave the hole if you feel like it. I haven't tried the ritter, simply because funds are a bit tight and I'd rather spend the cash on a 154CM model (which is fine for my uses) and pocket the rest.

Sheepsfoot because I prefer opening holes to studs. The operation of the blade on the mini grip is pretty decent if your used to the spyderco hole.

A update the ritter is gone the m-4 is going next I have another sheep foot on the way. I just don't care for the ritter or the m-4, can't explain it but that's the update.

all the votes for the sheepsfoot inspired me to order one just now. can't wait for it to arrive! I never liked or thought i'd buy a mini version of any knife because I have big hands, but I need a knife with a blade smaller than 3 inches for work so I'm giving this one a shot. I love my large drop point grip and large ritter so I'm certain this knife won't disappoint.
