It's hard to find fault with the mini grip. It's just about the perfect "everything" knife...light, pocket-able, tough, ergonomic, etc. The Axis lock is genius. I have the 555 and 556 but mainly carry the thumbstud version. I am looking for stories and photos of some real long term users.

i will get one to see how it feels compared to a regular delica, which i find to be almost perfect, in size and ease of carry

They're the perfect knives for day-to-day use. The Mini RSK Mk1 in S30V has become my work EDC and I have a 556 in 154CM in my pocket right now.

The M2 High Speed limited edition is probably my favourite folder, bar none.

I have a 555 that I edc a lot. The blade geometry is ideal and the 154 steel seems to hold a sharp edge for a good long time.

I'm primarily a Spyderco man in the realm of folders, but several Benchmade models have attracted my interest and subsequently gained my affection---the Griptilian series is one of them. I have a Mini Grip boasting the blue handle and BM's version of the SpyderHole, a full-sized D2 Griptilian from Cabela's, a yellow-handed RSK Mk1 Mini, and a full-sized, black-handled RSK Mk1; all are excellent knives.

it really is the perfect inexpensive EDC. I'm testin the waters on a Spydie Delica 4 and the mini grip (555) that breifly passed through my hands outshines it in pretty much every way.

I really don't compare the Mini Grip to the Delica. It's weird but even though they seem to match-up (3" blade, frn handle) I don't see them as interchangable. The Delica is a great knife at about the same price point but the feel is different. Sounds strange but I've actually compared the mini's feel to a Sodbuster Jr.

The mini is very pocket friendly...even more if you remove the clip. It just rides nicely in the RF pocket. When in use, it feels small but solid and fills the hand enough to inspire real confidence.

I EDC'd a Spydie everyday until I discovered the 555 Mini. What's not to love?

You get an axis lock, spyderhole, and Made in USA

Plus the modified sheepsfoot blade has to be the best all around EDC design.

Love them, riock solid little performers. The green one pictured is my oldest, most used of the three. 440C, wicked sharp, been worked hard and it is still as tight as day one.

I just got a 556 last week and am loving it. It has instantly become my EDC.

I just ordered the Doug Ritter Mini RSK MkI and am eagerly waiting for it. Ordered it Saturday. Was shipped today.

My 556 replaced my 10+yr Delica EDC. It's been about 3 years and no point in a pic- it still looks brand new. Edge has only needed touch-ups. I am very happy with this knife-great feel, balance and edge/size ratio. I've probably bought 10+ folders since I've had it and nothing has knocked it out of my pocket yet!

The Griptilian is one of the best knives at its price point. Here are mine!

I have to agree with 5.56 about the blade design. I wish I could get more knives with the modified sheepsfoot blade. It has to be the most natural feeling blade shapes for EDC.

I have pondered ordering a custom knife with the same blade shape.

I have carried a Mini and loved it. They are a simple and functional knife. The only thing I didn't like about mine was that is was partially serrated. That was the first and last serrated folder I have ever bought.

I have a serrated tanto mini 557SBK, and a stonewashed Ritter mini 558... the tanto rides permanent shotgun in my car, and the Ritter doesn't leave my pocket. The Mini Grip is by far my favorite edc knife that I have come across. I will probably be buying this month a 555 yellow or black, a 556 D2 from cabelas, and a pink 556 for the girlfriend.

I would love to see some new steels and colors (orange) for the minis.

Grips are horribly addictive. I started out with one and now have five and I can't recommend them more highly. The Grips are a great knife, a great value and a great EDC.

You guys are stoking my fire! I ordered two mini-grips last night. Will be my first Benchmades and I have high expectations!

Thanks for the thread!

Can anyone post a pic of a Mini Grip next to a BM707 Sequel? I'm looking for a small folder and am torn between the two. I'm leaning toward the Sequel because of it's shorter closed length, but haven't really noticed any other significant differences.
