Mini Kerambit

I was just wondering if anybody had ordered anything from this site :http://www.combat-silat.net/description.asp?Item=ES-03 I ordered a mini kerambit just to see what I get.I know the quality is a question here but they have allot of traditional knives and swords from all over and I just couldnt refuse a kerambit for $33 If you click on the link up in the upper right hand corner of the page is the name of several countries click one and view weapons from that country.I liked several and they all are priced low.This one is nice click it to inlarge: http://www.combat-silat.net/description.asp?Item=EM-01 Oh well Ill see when it gets here.I will do a follow up as to the quality and shipping time and such............R:)
 
Being impulsive I did this backward and should have asked first.I used my bussiness credit card so even if it dosent show or it is so bad it has to go back my butt is covered.
 
That's a swell looking kerambit. The last ones I bought were awful and in a box marked "Black Ninja" for the same amount of scratch. I bet your handcrafted one, with the stylish brass ferrule and overall look of great quality, won't come in a box adorned with dinosaurs. :p

Let us know what you get in 3-4 weeks and how much you enjoy it.
 
A BLACK NINJA!! NO!I want one in a box with dinosaurs on it.Damn. I have a fear that this one might come with newspaper still stuck to the varnished handle and an edge from rubbing it on a rock.:eek: Will see.I let you know.If it is decent I have a little project that could use some of the bigger pieces.....................R
 
I believe that Valiantco hires Indonesia-based artisans to craft useable pieces from spring steel and damascus of some kind. In a similar named forum, some guy was raving about how his Valiantco Golok helped him deforest his yard better than his usual machete and how its shape and function was a hazard to anyone expecting machete behavior.

My black ninja/Dinosaur-boxed crap is 420J2. Trust your impulse on this one. Or at least enjoy your savings.
 
I did do a little reading on viking sword forum and a couple other places and they speak highly of Valiantco and also heard a good word on the different kerambits.Allot of packages get damaged in shipping from what I have read.
