MINI Knife Tutorial and WIP

I wondered about waxing it, but thought it might prevent the lacquer from adhering. Also, given the scale, clear nail polish instead of lacquer?

Clear nail polish is acetate dissolved in acetone ( or something similar).I don't want anything thick like that, which would coat the ito. I want something that is water thin and will penetrate the ito and not really show at all. I use jewelry lacquer that is thinned 50:50.
 
Thanks for sharing, Stacy! It's great to see minis get some more exposure 'round here.

I had actually started typing up a tutorial on minis myself some time ago, but haven't had the shop time to get any pictures of the process... Maybe I'll get to share too someday.
