Hi, I have 3 more mini-kwaikens dropping. This one is a Maple Valley Richlite in a slightly smaller design with less jimping. The sheath has a bigger belt loop compared to the last one.

  • OAL: 6 3/8"
  • Cutting length: 2 1/2"
  • Weight 51g knife only
  • Steel: 0.130" Alpha Knife supplied 80CrV2
  • Heat Treat: Home old Paragon Kiln with PID thermocouple controller. Soak at 1500F for approximately 8 minutes, quench in warmed (130F) Canola Oil, two x 1hr temper at 375F, water cooled in between temper. I don't have hardness tester except for Tsubosan hardness files, so don't have an accurate estimate. The 55Rc file skates, the 60Rc file starts to cut a little. That and a dollar will buy you a cup of coffee.
  • Grind: Flat Grind
  • Finish: Acid etched then stone washed in vibratory tumbler, spine satin
  • Jimping: 20Lines/inch checkering file in one place. It is a little more decorative than useful as it was ground a little flusher with the handle scale.
  • Edge: set at 20degree on grinder, then finished through extra fine stone on Lansky at 20degree setting, leather stropped with green buffing compound
  • Handle: Masecraft supplied Maple Valley Richlite
  • Pins: Copper
  • Sheath: 7/9 oz vegetable tanned shoulder, British tan, treated with Nikwax, black edgekote on welt, cross draw loop.
  • If you don't like it now or ever, send it back for full refund, new knife or anything in between
