MiniManix is on my wish list.
The only thing that's disturbing me is this 'flick-it-open' feature.
Does this put the knife into "opened by gravity or centrifugal force" category?
'cause that would make it illegal in Canada...

I've been able to open every Spyderco model I've gotten my hands on with a wrist flick. Some of the Spydie heads in Canada have had issues with getting the knives past customs. I think if you order from newgraham.com, you can ask them to tighten the pivot screw so it can't be opened via wrist flick.

Can you do that with the little ones - EG Lava?

Haven't tried a Lava, but I think I could make it happen. When I do wrist flicks with the knife tip up, it puts a lot of energy into the opening.

Id love to know if its possible on the lava before I do some injury to myself like dislocate my wrist trying!

Well done! I had the choice a few months ago on getting the Mini Manix or a Para Military...The Para popped up on the used page...the rest is history. The Manix is definitely on my short list. Congratulations!

Theres nothing "cool" or "awesome" gizmos on this knife, that what makes it so awesomely cool! :D

Really, though, the Manix line is a no BS, no crap, all business knife. I really do think that of the Manix line as just a highly and heavily updated Buck 110. I just cannot even imagine this knife being disco'd. I mean.... it just.. THERE. If this knife does get disco'd, I WILL buy several, which is saying something with my very low (teenager) income.:thumbup::thumbup:

You never really realize just how awesome the large Spyder-hole some spydies is , until you try a thumbstud, or a small hole. Also, it's incredibly easy to open it with your weak (left hand for me) hand.

Overall, I love this knife. Its that simple. I'm sure many other Spydies are great, and I will still buy more. But my Mini Manix will always have a special place in my heart. :) :)
