Well guys, I have decided its going to be a manix, but I cant decided which one. I have held the mini. It feels really good in the hand. Is the larger manix, that much bigger? How does it fell compared to the smaller version?

no, the manix isn't much bigger at all. if it helps, the spyder hole and lanyard hole match up on both models. the mini has a 1/2" shorter blade with the belly and spine proportionally reduced to keep the same leaf shaped profile. the butt of the knife is abbreviated. like i said the lanyard hole is in the same place on both knives so it looks as if they just cut off the butt of the manix.

IMO go with the mini. the blade is marginally smaller, but still "big" compared to other knives. and the handle is better IMO because they shortened the butt end of the knife. it's smaller, more compact but still a MANIX!

Full size and 83mm...

Thanks for your help everyone!

I decided to go with the mini manix. After handling it and amny others, it seems to be the best compromise between the others, for what I want.

Thanks again!!

Sincerely
John

Congrats on the decision. I used to own a Large Manix and currently have a Mini (in my pocket right now). I prefer the Mini slightly for EDC.

That's the reason i decided to go with it. As much as I would like to have the larger one. I know I would end up not using it as an edc. But handling the mini, made me think it would be a good edc and still be big enough to use!

These are really fantastic knives. If I were in Iraq or A'Stan they would be in my pocket(s), thats for certain.

I just received my mini-manix, my first "real" knife! What a tank!! It's perfect!!

I have both as of today and I think the mini may get more pocket time for awhile anyway since I just got it

I think the mini feels better in hand and in pocket.
