Mini Manix

I just picked up a cruwear manix and I found it to be a lot like my Domino but larger. I think a mini version would do well though.

How "mini" are we talking here?

What about the upcoming Q Ball?

Not a caged ball and Wharncliffe blade but it's pretty close IMO to what an updated Mini Manix would be.

Here's an old school Mini Manix just because.

I would like to pick one of those up. I have an original Manix that is just a little too big. The Manix 2 is about perfect for me, much more so than the PM2.

been on the lookout for one of these!but never found one,i like the idea of a newer mini manix, and just forgo the backlock and fit the cage BB,boom think it would be a winner!and a little more pocket friendly at that,i'm in....

I would be very happy if they brought back the old FFG mini Manix back lock.

I honestly wish they would go back to the Manix with the back lock. Those were the best Manix ever built IMO.

Get rid of all the dang jimping around the handle and bring back the old jimping (for the thumb ramp) that looked like steps. For me, that jimping was way better than the tiny jimping of today.

The jimping I'm speaking of is in the middle in the pic below. Not my pic, I just found it in a search.

I'd buy at least two.

But as much as I dislike the CBBL, it's what the current Manix has, and a new Micro Manix would really have to have it in order to keep in the spirit of a new "mini".

just like the PM3 keep the Compression lock.

Keep the cutting edge the same length, just remove the choil and adjust the handle accordingly.
If needed, smooth out the slight pinky hook or put the a pinky "choil" in, but cambered up slightly to facilitate a hybrid 3 finger/full grip feel.

im carrying my manix2 today, my only 2 issues are that its too wide in the pocket and the jimping catches on my pants when i slide it in my pocket. if those two issues could be resolved id probably get one. however as mentioned above there are other models that work too.

I don't really like the ball lock. I wish the manix line kept the back lock or used the hard use backlock that some of the large spyderco folders have - forget the name at the moment
