Mini-mill again! I am so sorry!

Yes Shawn, that's what I am thinking too. I have to email them to know more about shipping options.

Thanks

Patrice

Shawn, I went for the fun of it to my local hardware shop. No mills to buy there but they can order stuff. Well without trying too hard I could have one of those:

Delivery included to my garage for about 1600$. Might get it a little lower if I pushed a little.
It seems like even more of a mill than the X3. The only thing I am not sure about is the round column.
That and I wonder if it is worth getting the stand for it or making one myself.

The search continues.

The mill you show above is close to the same as this one http://www.grizzly.com/products/2-HP-Mill-Drill/G1006 which I have with the powerfeed. I like it. I have added scales and stuff to it. Even a VFD and 3ph motor so I don't have to switch belts. Good platform that will handle a lot more than a mini. Yes the round column can be a hassle if you need to change your hieght more than 4". On knife stuff that is about never.

That is identical to the one i have, Patrice! believe me, it'll haul ass for most anything we do. and yes, your better building a stand, although the ones that come with them do work.

Even still, i have a feeling that the x3 will work just as well, and does have a square column so charging tooling is much easier. but if you decide to go with this one i can show you a couple tricks i've learned!!

Both the x3 or that mill/drill will work great!

That mill it is then. Having you guys to question/bother is a big plus. ;)

First I have to make room and make a table. So my first questions are:

1) What floorspace do I need and how high do I make the stand? (any practical features I should incorporate in the stand?)

Thanks Jim and Shawn.
