mini-multitools vs traditionals

Well I started out using traditional pocket-knives as a boy. And later I discovered Swiss Army Knives.
And recently I have come under the spell of the Leatherman Micra.
For several weeks I tried to go back to carrying a traditional pocket-knife (the Buck 303 Cadet, a Camillus yello-jaket congress, an Old Timer stockman) but I always find myself needing a screwdriver or some other tool.
So before long I was once again carrying a SAK, and later, the Micra.

Is there anyone else who has forsaken the traditional pocket-knife in favor of the shear utility of the mini-multitool.

Why on earth would you just carry one or the other? Carry both! Nothing is more useful than a SAK, multitool, or Scout knife. That said, a traditional knife, espescially a multi-blade has a great versatility when it comes to cutting. Just put a Leatherman Micra on your keychain and keep a pocket knife in your pocket.

I could do that (and I have), but I'm trying to cut down to as few knives as possible.
I used to carry quite a few blades but I found that I hardly ever used them all. They were simply just extra weight to lug around. So now it's just the Micra and the Spyderco Rescue.

Are you feeling ok? I think you need a few days rest and maybe a new knife to maybe clear your head out a little.

I carry a Supertool and Micra daily. I just got a Sideclip in case a day comes that the Supertool won't fit with what I'm wearing. This is in addition to at least three knives. Carry what works for you.
