Ive been trying to get some of the BF members thoughts on this particular knife. I've watched allot of Utube vids and seem to get positive reviews,? I love ergos and design of the blade but it might be just me, or is the g10 scales really slippery?

I fondled one at a shop near me a couple weeks ago and I literally fell in love with it instantly. It feels amazing in the hand and is sooooOOOoOOOOo smooth. I gotta have one now but I think I'm gonna buy one for my brother who just graduated from college first.

I love mine! The G-10 has alot of grip for being smooth,it feels like they sandblasted the scales to give them more texture. I have been carrying mine everyday since I got it. The ergos are fantastic and the blade cuts like nothing I've owned before. The blade profile is perfect for my EDC, Get one you will love it.

Iv got a shot show 2012 edition coming this week. I plan on edcing it. I held one about a year ago and been wanting one every since. Plus I wanted a slicer and am kinda tired of the para 2. Plus, its hard to beat an axis lock.

I love this knife; sent an extra clip off to a friend in the blasting biz and had it done in a matte finish to match the blade:

I have the full size version but the G10 handles are the same. I don't find it slippery at all. It is smooth and looks smooth but the G10 does have texture and the grip feels very sure in hand.

When you take the total package into account with the clip on one side and cut out in the handle on the other, your fingers wrap around and recess into the cutout somewhat and the overall grip is very sound.

I'd say the same thing about the Dejavoo (also a Bob Lum Design) that has the same G10 texture and cutouts in the handle.

It really does all come together and work very well. I feel confident with both knives in hand.

I had one, it's one of the most beautiful factory knife I owned. It cuts and slices extremely well! love it!!

But it fell out of my pocket couple of times, the ride is too high for me and the retention of the clip is weak, so I let it go.

Thanks for all the info guys, yea I actually couldn't wait so went ahead and bought it in the AM. Now I have to dress her up and put a lanyard and bead. The blade is exceptionally smooth coming out of the box, I think I might be EDC this one for a while. I did though put some grip tape(sheet of paper-hole size) on the cut out on the handle, gave me a little more traction while deploying. Thanks for the input! I am admiring the carbon fiber ones(jealous)

Congratulations!

Be sure to come back and let us know what you think after you've had a chance to get a feel for it.

All the best!

I just got both the full size and the mini yesterday. Love them both

I made a new backspacer for the big one. Will be making one for the small one in the nest day or so

Here are pics next to my zt560s I just made scales for

The only thing I would change is I would want them both to have the D2 steel like the shot show edition. Also I would like two tone colored scales. I may try to make some

I'm sure you'll like yours. I have a large and small and like both of them. I don't find them too slippery.
I really feel like you get what you pay for in a Benchmade.

Bob Lum was amazing.
Am happy BM took the ball and ran with the axis lock.
Soon to be Classic BM / Lum design.

I've always loved the look of this knife but I can't get over that hideous clip. I hate the shape and the size of that monstrosity.

I may have a solution to this. I will be playing with my mini onslaught in the next few days. Hopefully this horrible migraine headache will be gone!

A deep carry clip would be sweet. Im not a huge fan of the current clip but anything besides the same old arrow and that other plIn clip that says benchmade.

The worst part of the stock clip on this is that large chunk of metal. The shape is bad enough but why does it have to take up so much space on those nice scales?
